Hi, I'm Monica. I am a commercial and editorial photographer specializing in portraiture, lifestyle, and visual storytelling. I was born and raised in Romania, and have called San Francisco home for almost 20 years. I'm deeply passionate about the outdoors and the landscapes of the American West. I'm proud to call the Bay home, and grateful to have such easy access to vast wilderness close to where I live. I'm an avid outdoorswoman, and an advocate for sustainable living and mindful stewardship of the earth. I have dual citizenship (EU and USA), I've frugally traveled around the world, I am fluent in three languages (English, German, Romanian… and a good amount of Spanish), and I'm available to travel both within the US and internationally for work assignments. When I'm not on a shoot, I spend my free time cycling, rock climbing, skiing, backpacking, gardening or cooking delicious wholesome meals from scratch.
